How do I use Magnesium Ointment?
To use For the Love of earth magnesium ointment rub 1/4 a teaspoon of the ointment into the sole of each foot before going to bed. That is the regular dose needed for prevention and control of symptoms.
If you are already taking a magnesium supplement we recommend pausing them for a couple of weeks while you try the Magnesium ointment, you need to see which product will help you the most and there is no point using 2 products if only 1 would work for you. We don't like waste!
Can I apply it anywhere else?
On top of the regular dose if you feel a headache/migraine coming on rub some onto your forehead and back of the neck, or rub directly into cramping muscles or sore joints.
Why?
the reasons for applying to your feet are;
- The pores in the skin on the soles of your feet are bigger than anywhere else on your body. They act as straws, drawing in the magnesium.
- There is no sebum produced on the soles of your feet so there is no barrier to absorption
- There are over 200,000 nerve endings in your feet, transmitting information back to your brain.
If your restless legs start before you go to bed, we would recommend that you apply earlier in the evening.

Is you're magnesium cream suitable for diabetic neuropathy? I've read some of the reviews and a lot mention restless legs, however did not come across any mentioning diabetic neuropathy.
Hi, thank you for your question. The magnesium ointment will not cure your neuropathy but it may well help with any pain it causes you, and also help you to relax and get better sleep. I have a lady with short nerve neuropathy who says it has helped with the pain in her feet, and also a few customers with fibromyalgia who experience relief from nerve pain when using it.
We have a 30ml size tin that you could try before investing in a full jar.

Hi, these are 2 of the main symptoms we recommend the Magnesium ointment for, along with Restless leg syndrome. Rub it into the soles of your feet every night before bed and you should notice an improvement from night 1. You can also rub it into the leg muscles that are cramping.

Do i rub a little on my heart for anxiety? I get terrible morning anxiety - wakes me up and i can't get back to sleep.
HI, thank you for your question. Your body absorbs it most efficiently by applying it to the soles of your feet every night. This will raise your levels of Magnesium all over your body, not just your feet. If, however, you feel that rubbing a small amount on your chest would help, you could do that. Only use a small amount, your body will only use what it needs so applying more is just a waste.
You may also want to try the Lavender and Cedarwood Sleep balm; the Lavender is for relaxation but the Cedarwood works on calming your mind, when you thought you were tired but as soon as you turn the light out you're wide awake thinking of random things. This is rubbed into your temples, wrists and a little bit under your nose.

How long does it take for magnesium ointment to help joints pain
Hi, thank you for your question.
Applying the ointment to the soles of your feet every night can help reduce overall joint pain. While you may not experience immediate effects like you would with restless legs or insomnia, you should notice an improvement after about two weeks. For quicker, though shorter-lived relief, apply the ointment directly to the painful joint.

I have been in hospital for magnesium deficiency and had to have intravenous magnesium drips for 3 days. The muscle cramps and pain was like nothing I've ever had before. That was a few months ago and I am starting to get some symptoms again. I am taking magnesium drinks and would like to know if this will help the severe excruciating pain of my ankles and hands turning in and not being able to move them. Hi,
We would still recommend that you rub it into the soles of your feet every evening. On top of that you can also rub it into your ankles.
I would, however, ask that you stop taking the magnesium orally for 2 weeks, just to determine which product is of the most benefit to you, you don't want to be paying for 2 products when only 1 would do.

We don't use any artificial fragrances in our products which can trigger migraines.
The Magnesium ointment does contain Lavender and Black pepper essential oils which help with the relaxation process.

Ive just bought my second jar of the magnesium ointment and the consistency seems different. The 1st one had more of a body scrub feel to it the second more oily. Has it been changed?

As our products are all made by hand there can be a variation in texture from one batch to another, a bit like making the same cake from the same recipe and it turning out slightly different. A variation in temperature can also cause a slight grittiness sometimes due to differing melting points of the various butters, this doesn't affect the efficacy of the product.
The recipe has not been changed in any way, the product safety report we hold for each product prevents us from changing anything.

The only condition that we know of, whose sufferers should avoid using Magnesium is Kidney disease.
I would always recommend checking with your husbands health care provider before using the Magnesium though.

I bought this when you were at a food festival as I saw it apparently helped with migraines. I had a migraine recently and remembered I had this ointment. I put it on my feet and on my head as you stated on the website and the pain I had in my head from the migraine went away almost instantly! 10/10 would recommend!!!
I am so glad i found this wonderful product. Before i found it i used to take hours to fall asleep. Now i nod off without a problem. I can even go back to sleep if i need to get up to use the bathroom. Just need to find a product to turn my bladder off at bedtime and my night times will be perfect.

This ointment really works. I am definitely sleeping much more soundly. It’s a good quality product and the price is excellent. I originally used a different brand of magnesium ointment, that cost over twice as much and it wasn’t as good because it contained a lot of water that obviously doesn’t mix readily with the oil so it often poured out as water! This ointment does not do that because it contains less water and it’s been made with in smaller batches that I assume allows for better quality control. Highly recommend and I’m recommending to friends who also struggle with sleeping issues.

I have just ordered a second jar for two years have had a frozen shoulder been told I need a operation.so thought I would try magnesium ointment.all I can say is this has helped with pain that's why ordered second jar I highly recommend.
Saw your stall in skipton market and intrigued, and I have to say very sceptical I have quite a few conditions which may or may not cause irritable foot syndrome, and at the time of passing your stall had been having bouts almost every night. So I bought a jar of magnesium foot cream, I have tried it each night for over a week and have had excellent nights sleep. I have been advised by doctors not to take supplements due to the other medications I take, I will be taking the jar with me on my next visit to him/her for hopefully agreement to continue.

Oh my! I’ve been suffering with foot pain on/off since I started the menopause two years ago. The arches in my feet felt like elastic bands about to snap. I take magnesium orally but saw the magnesium ointment reviewed somewhere. I decided to try it and ordered some. All I can say is a miracle has occurred. On the first application the pain dulled immediately. I’m writing this after the second application last night. Again the pain dulled, my feet feel lighter. Hard to explain. I can’t rave about this product enough. I’ve had 3 jars now and I panic if I’m running low. I’m 28 years old and I’ve never thought about using anything on my feet before bed but what a game changer. I bought the Magnesium ointment off you in Margam on Saturday. I was hoping to ease the discomfort of restless legs. Saturday night I could feel the niggley feeling but not one twitch. Sunday night totally relaxed legs. Even better when climbing the stairs into on Monday morning the heavy leaden feeling was gone. I'm truly amazed at how fast and effective this ointment is. I am someone who has suffered with restless leg syndrome her entire teen and adult life. It’s exhausting, embarassing in public and frustrating to me and my poor husband who I share a bed with! I've dealt with restless legs for years!! Especially if I'm sat down too long or eaten particular foods that trigger it. I've been using this ointment for a few days, every night before bed and sometimes in the morning. I certainly believe it is working because I don't feel the restlessness kick in as bad as it usually does. Only because I've suffered with it for so long, the restlessness hasn't gone away suddenly, but definitely doesn't feel as bad as it used to ... if I can feel improvements already, I look forward to using this more and more!
